How it works
- Activate Mindslaver by paying 4, tapping and sacrificing it, causing you to gain control of target opponent during their next turn.
- During the opponent's turn, cast Lethal Vapors by paying 2.
- As the opponent, activate Lethal Vapors by paying 0 an arbitrarily large number of times, causing that opponent to skip that many turns.
This delightfully cruel lock hinges on Mindslaver to seize total command of your opponent's mind during their very next turn, giving you temporary agency over their hand and decisions. While piloting them, you cast Lethal Vapors, setting up a lingering threat that clears away any pesky creatures the moment they enter the battlefield. Most importantly, that same enchantment comes with a self-destruct clause activated for zero mana, but at the cost of skipping the controller's next turn—a penalty you can happily dump onto your mind-controlled victim an arbitrary number of times. Thanks to Quicksilver, Speedster waiting in the wings with flash, you have the instant-speed flexibility to drop your setup precisely when you need it, ultimately stranding your helpless opponent in a state where they skip all of their future turns entirely.
