How it works
Cast Time Walk by paying 1 and sacrificing a creature with power two or greater, targeting yourself.
Time Walk's casualty ability and Talrand trigger.
Resolve the Time Walk trigger, copying it, targeting yourself.
Resolve the Talrand trigger, creating a 2/2 Drake creature token.
Resolve both Time Walks, causing you to take two extra turns after this one.
Move to your last extra turn.
Cast Call to Mind by paying 2 and sacrificing a Drake, targeting Mystic Retrieval.
Call to Mind's casualty ability and Talrand trigger.
Resolve the Call to Mind trigger, copying it, targeting Time Walk.
Resolve the Talrand trigger, creating a 2/2 Drake creature token.
Resolve both Call to Minds, returning Time Walk and Mystic Retrieval from your graveyard to your hand.
Repeat steps 1 through 6 one additional time.
Cast Mystic Retrieval by paying 3 and sacrificing a Drake, targeting Call to Mind.
Mystic Retrieval's casualty ability and Talrand trigger.
Resolve the Mystic Retrieval trigger, copying it, targeting Time Walk.
Resolve the Talrand trigger, creating a 2/2 Drake creature token.
Resolve both Mystic Retrievals, returning Time Walk and Call to Mind from your graveyard to your hand.
Repeat steps 1 through 6 one additional time.
Repeat from step 7.
This vintage-legal loop achieves infinite turns by feeding Anhelo, the Painter's casualty ability with the very creature tokens generated by Talrand, Sky Summoner. When you cast Time Walk, Anhelo duplicates it while Talrand rewards your spellcasting with a fresh 2/2 Drake, supplying the exact sacrifice fodder needed to fuel your recursion engine. Once your extra turns are secured, Call to Mind and Mystic Retrieval take turns retrieving each other and Time Walk from the graveyard, utilizing flashback when necessary to keep the chain unbroken.
