How it works

1. Activate Emry by tapping it, targeting Lion's Eye Diamond.
2. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond from your graveyard by paying 0.
3. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Zealous Conscripts.
4. When Zealous Conscripts enters, it triggers, untapping Emry.
5. Activate Lion's Eye Diamond by discarding your hand and sacrificing it.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop achieves infinity by turning Lion's Eye Diamond into both its own fuel and its own recursion engine, all neatly enabled by Emry, Lurker of the Loch pulling it right back out of the graveyard. The magic truly happens because Displacer Kitten watches every noncreature spell you cast—including casting Lion's Eye Diamond from your graveyard—to constantly blink Zealous Conscripts. Every time Zealous Conscripts re-enters the battlefield, its trigger untaps Emry so you can tap her to repeat the process, while also giving you a surplus of mana from Lion's Eye Diamond's sacrifice along the way.
