How it works

  1. Activate any number of creatures you control by tapping them, adding at least 1W manaW mana.
  2. Cast Conviction by paying its mana cost, targeting any creature you control except Displacer Kitten.
  3. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking itself.
  4. When Displacer Kitten enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
  5. Resolve the Conviction spell.
  6. Activate Conviction by paying W mana, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  7. Repeat.

This ingenious engine turns a humble enchantment and a magical feline into a powerhouse of endless recursion. By casting Conviction, you trigger Displacer Kitten's ability to blink itself, which in turn causes Intruder Alarm to untap all of your creatures so you can tap them again for mana. You can then bounce Conviction right back to your hand using its own activated ability—or simply recast it—keeping the loop going indefinitely.
