How it works

1. Cast Dark Ritual by paying .
2. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Scrivener.
3. When Scrivener enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Frantic Search from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Resolve Dark Ritual, adding .
5. Activate up to three lands by tapping them, adding at least .
6. Cast Frantic Search by paying 2.
7. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Scrivener.
8. When Scrivener enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Dark Ritual from your graveyard to your hand.
9. Resolve Frantic Search, causing you to loot twice and untap up to three lands.
10. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recursive recycling, anchored by Displacer Kitten's ability to constantly reset a creature whenever you cast a noncreature spell. You start by casting Dark Ritual to fuel your mana, letting the Kitten blink Scrivener so it can pluck Frantic Search right back out of your graveyard. When you subsequently cast that very Frantic Search, the Kitten triggers again to blink Scrivener *once more*, allowing it to retrieve the Dark Ritual and simultaneously net you draws, discards, and untaps from your lands. It's a gorgeous self-sustaining engine that turns black mana and card selection into an infinite cascade of triggers.
