How it works

1. Activate up to seven lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 1.
2. Cast Conviction by paying its mana cost, targeting Displacer Kitten
3. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Great Whale.
4. When Great Whale enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
5. Resolve the Conviction spell.
6. Activate Conviction by paying , returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the unassuming Aura Conviction into an infinite engine by leveraging Displacer Kitten's Avoidance ability every time you cast a noncreature spell. Each time Conviction enters the battlefield and triggers the Kitten, you blink Great Whale, whose entry ability untaps your lands to pay for casting the enchantment all over again. By activating Conviction's own ability to return it to your hand for just {W}, you reset the loop to continuously recast it, generating boundless mana, storm count, and eternal triggers for all your creature enter-the-battlefield and leave-the-battlefield effects.
