How it works

1. Activate up to seven lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 1
2. Cast Ghitu Firebreathing by paying its mana cost, targeting Displacer Kitten
3. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Palinchron.
4. When Palinchron enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
5. Resolve the Ghitu Firebreathing spell.
6. Activate Ghitu Firebreathing by paying , returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
7. Repeat.

This loop relies on the brilliant interaction between Displacer Kitten's avoidance trigger and Palinchron's ability to untap up to seven lands upon entering the battlefield, which easily generates a surplus of mana. To keep the engine running, Ghitu Firebreathing is repeatedly cast as a noncreature spell—triggering the Kitten to blink Palinchron—and then returned directly to your hand using its own activated return ability. Because Ghitu Firebreathing can bounce itself back to your hand for just {R}, you have a self-sustaining cycle that endlessly repeats its entry and leave-the-battlefield events while exploiting your lands' mana production.
