Magar of the Magic Strings + Final Fortune + Sundial of the Infinite
Magar of the Magic Strings
Final Fortune
Sundial of the Infinite
Infinite turnsLock
How it works
Cast Final Fortune by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one and to lose the game at the beginning of that turn's end step.
Activate Magar by paying 1, noting Final Fortune and putting it face down on the battlefield as a 3/3 creature.
During your next turn, deal combat damage to an opponent using the face down creature that has Final Fortune noted.
The creature triggers, casting a copy of Final Fortune without paying its mana cost. Resolve the copy, causing you to take an extra turn after this one and to lose the game at the beginning of that turn's end step.
Activate Sundial of the Infinite by paying 1 and tapping it, causing you to end the turn. This will prevent the Final Fortune trigger from causing you to lose the game.
Repeat from step 3.
This brilliant chain bends time to your will by turning your graveyard's sorceries into lethal combat threats using Magar of the Magic Strings, specifically targeting Final Fortune to chain extra turns indefinitely. The trick to surviving Final Fortune's devastating "lose the game" clause lies in Sundial of the Infinite, whose activated ability lets you prematurely end your turn and exile the impending loss trigger from the stack before it can resolve. By repeating this loop, you get all the benefits of continuous extra turns while cleanly dodging the game-over penalty every single time.
