How it works
Cast Final Fortune by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one and to lose the game at the beginning of that turn's end step.
Activate Magar by paying 1, noting Final Fortune and putting it face down on the battlefield as a 3/3 creature.
Activate Magar by paying 1, noting Discontinuity and putting it face down on the battlefield as a 3/3 creature.
During your next turn, deal combat damage to an opponent using the face down creatures that have Final Fortune and Discontinuity noted. The creatures trigger.
Resolve the first trigger, casting a copy of Final Fortune without paying its mana cost. Resolve the copy, causing you to take an extra turn after this one and to lose the game at the beginning of that turn's end step.
Resolve the second trigger, casting a copy of Discontinuity without paying its mana cost. Resolve the copy, causing you to end the turn. This will prevent the Final Fortune trigger from causing you to lose the game.
Repeat from step 3.
This ingenious loop turns Magar of the Magic Strings into a terrifying engine by turning your graveyard's most explosive spells into aggressive, attacking threats. By using Magar's ability to manifest Final Fortune, you secure extra turns to continually push the attack, but normally that spell's dangerous deferred loss condition would catch up to you. That is where Magar's second target comes in: casting a copied Discontinuity right before the turn ends lets you completely bypass Final Fortune's game-losing trigger. By looping these combat damage triggers over and over, you cleanly dodge your own demise while taking infinite turns to lock the game down.
