How it works

1. Activate Tolarian Academy by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate a land that enters untapped by tapping it, adding at least .
3. Activate Oboro Breezecaller by paying 2 and returning the land that taps for from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Tolarian Academy.
4. Activate Gretchen by paying 2, causing you to draw a card and put the land from step 3 onto the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This vintage-legal engine relies on the explosive mana generation of Tolarian Academy, which easily funds the loop once you have a critical mass of artifacts in play. Oboro Breezecaller serves as the crucial enabler by resetting your blue-producing powerhouse, bouncing a land to feed your engine's mana and land-drop requirements. Finally, Gretchen Titchwillow ties the whole loop together by converting your abundant mana into fresh cards and immediately returning that bounced land to the battlefield, letting you repeat the process indefinitely.
