How it works

1. Activate Nykthos by paying 2 and tapping it, adding at least seven G/U.
2. Activate a land that enters untapped by tapping it, adding at least G/U.
3. Activate Oboro Breezecaller by paying 2 and returning the land that taps for G/U from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Nykthos
4. Activate Gretchen by paying 2, causing you to draw a card and put the land from step 3 onto the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns your green and blue devotion into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the synergy between Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Oboro Breezecaller. With your devotion providing a massive surplus of mana, Nykthos generates the fuel needed to pay Oboro Breezecaller's activation cost while simultaneously untapping itself. By bouncing and replaying a land, you naturally fuel Gretchen Titchwillow's ability to continuously draw your deck and put lands back onto the battlefield.
