How it works

1. Activate Cauldron of Souls by tapping it, giving Pentavus persist until end of turn.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Pentavus, adding CC.
3. When Pentavus dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with four +1/+1 counters on it.
4. Activate Pentavus' first ability twice by paying 2 and removing two +1/+1 counters from it, creating two 1/1 Pentavite artifact creature tokens.
5. Activate Clock of Omens by tapping Pentavus and a Pentavite, untapping Cauldron of Souls.
6. Repeat.
7. Once you have infinite colorless mana and Pentavite tokens, you may use Pentavus' second ability to put infinite +1/+1 counters on it.

This clever loop turns Pentavus into an unstoppable, self-sustaining engine by utilizing Cauldron of Souls to grant it persist, allowing it to cheat death over and over again. When Pentavus eventually falls into Ashnod's Altar to fuel our mana reserves, its persist trigger brings it right back to the battlefield with a fresh lease on life—and because Pentavus can birth its own Pentavite tokens, we have all the artifact bodies we need to tap for Clock of Omens. That trusty Clock untaps our Cauldron of Souls to keep the cycle going, letting us endlessly sacrifice tokens and constructs to generate infinite colorless mana, infinite artifacts, and an infinitely large Pentavus.
