How it works

1. Activate Brass Infiniscope by tapping it, adding CC.
2. Activate Pentavus's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, creating a 1/1 Pentavite creature token.
3. Activate Pentavus's second ability by paying 1 and sacrificing the Pentavite.
4. When the Pentavite dies, Dross Scorpion triggers, untapping Brass Infiniscope.
5. Resolve the Pentavus ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Pentavus acting as both a constant source of sacrifice fodder and a way to replenish its own counters, fueled entirely by the mana-generating capabilities of Brass Infiniscope. By spending the mana produced by the Infiniscope to create and immediately sacrifice a Pentavite, you trigger Dross Scorpion's death-triggered ability to untap the Infiniscope, creating a self-sustaining engine. Because the Pentavite's death simultaneously fuels Pentavus's counter-restoration and untaps your mana source, you generate infinite loops of creature deaths, enters-the-battlefield effects, and sacrifices. This endless recycling of artifacts also supercharges Brass Infiniscope's secondary ability, letting you reap infinite card draws and near-infinite lifegain whenever you cast an X-spell.
