How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent using Ayara's Oathsworn.
2. Ayara's Oathsworn triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and searching your library for Beacon of Tomorrows and putting it into your hand.
3. Activate Ion Storm by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from Ayara's Oathsworn, dealing 2 damage to any target.
4. Cast Beacon of Tomorrows by paying 6, causing you to take an extra turn after this one, and shuffle Beacon of Tomorrows into your library.
5. Repeat each turn.

This clever loop revolves around turning Ayara's Oathsworn into a reliable tutor by managing its growth carefully. Each combat step, its combat damage trigger adds a +1/+1 counter and fetches Beacon of Tomorrows once it hits four counters, but Ion Storm provides the vital safety valve needed to strip away those counters so you never accidentally lock yourself out of future searches.
