How it works

1. Activate Diaochan by tapping it, destroying an opponent's creature and any creature of that opponent's choice.
2. If the opponent chooses a creature you control to be destroyed, it is not destroyed due to it having indestructible.
3. The creature the opponent controls dies, triggering Diaochan, untapping Diaochan.
4. Repeat.

This lethal loop centers around giving Diaochan, Artful Beauty a way to deal with her own destructive drawback while cleaning out the entire enemy board. By outfitting her with Thornbite Staff, every creature that dies triggers an untap for her, letting her ability fire repeatedly. Of course, Diaochan's own targeted destruction normally claims one of your own, but Eldrazi Monument steps in to grant your team indestructible, neatly blanking the self-inflicted casualties while letting your opponents' chosen sacrifices fall.
