How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Furystoke Giant.
2. When Furystoke Giant dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Furystoke Giant.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat.

This crafty loop turns Shilgengar, Sire of Famine into a relentless engine by utilizing Furystoke Giant as both sacrifice fodder and a recurring threat. When Furystoke Giant repeatedly dies and its persist ability brings it back with a -1/-1 counter, Thran Vigil steps in to instantly neutralize that drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter on it, effectively resetting the giant for another cycle. Meanwhile, Shilgengar happily feeds on the giant to stockpile Blood tokens, creating a perpetual motion machine that generates infinite artifact tokens, death triggers, and enters-the-battlefield value.
