How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Furystoke Giant
2. When Furystoke Giant dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Furystoke Giant enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Furystoke Giant
4. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Stalwart Successor into an engine of continuous rebirth by exploiting the interaction between counters and persist. When Furystoke Giant enters the battlefield, its persist ability isn't doing the work yet—instead, Stalwart Successor notices the -1/+1 state changes and automatically places a +1/+1 counter on the Giant. Since Magic's state-based actions instantly annihilate a +1/+1 counter and a -1/+1 counter on the same permanent, Furystoke Giant is left completely clean of any -1/-1 counters and ready to persist again when sacrificed. You then feed the Giant to Viscera Seer to trigger its death, which sends it back to the battlefield to repeat the cycle while netting you infinite scries.
