How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Furystoke Giant.
2. When Furystoke Giant dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Hardened Academic triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Furystoke Giant.
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns your battlefield into a perpetual damage engine by continuously resetting and empowering a single creature. When you sacrifice Furystoke Giant to Goblin Bombardment, its persist ability brings it back from the graveyard with a -1/-1 counter, but Hardened Academic steps in with its passive trigger to immediately place a +1/+1 counter on the Giant. Since +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters annihilate each other as a state-based action, Furystoke Giant is left completely clean of counters and ready to be sacrificed all over again, dealing endless damage to any target.
