How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Highspire Artisan, adding CC.
2. When Highspire Artisan dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Highspire Artisan from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Highspire Artisan enters the battlefield, its fabricate ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Servo artifact creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Servo, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the unassuming Highspire Artisan into an endless engine of creation and sacrifice, fueled entirely by the raw mana of Ashnod's Altar. By using the two colorless mana from sacrificing the artisan—alongside two more mana from whatever source you choose—Nim Deathmantle's triggered ability steps in to resurrect the artisan right back to the battlefield. That triumphant return immediately triggers the artisan's fabricate ability to spit out a 1/1 Servo artifact creature token, which you can promptly feed right back into Ashnod's Altar to recoup your investment and keep the infinite cycle spinning.
