How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Highspire Artisan.
2. When Highspire Artisan dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Highspire Artisan enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into a masterclass of eternal recycling, relying on Isilu's backside to grant persist to your team. When you feed Highspire Artisan to Carrion Feeder, persist brings the Artisan right back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. Fortunately, Highspire Artisan's fabricate ability triggers upon its return, placing a +1/+1 counter that immediately neutralizes the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions. This leaves the Artisan completely clean and ready to be sacrificed all over again for infinitely repeating death, entry, and sacrifice triggers!
