How it works
Activate Evereth by sacrificing Rattleblaze Scarecrow.
When Rattleblaze Scarecrow dies, its persist ability triggers if it didn't have a -1/-1 counter, and Luminous Broodmoth triggers if Rattleblaze Scarecrow didn't have flying.
Resolve the persist trigger, if applicable, returning Rattleblaze Scarecrow from your graveyard to the battlefield with either a -1/-1 counter on it.
Resolve the Luminous Broodmoth trigger, if applicable, returning Rattleblaze Scarecrow from your graveyard to the battlefield with a flying counter on it if Rattleblaze Scarecrow is still in your graveyard.
Resolve the Evereth ability.
Repeat.
This clever loop relies on exploiting Luminous Broodmoth and persist to repeatedly bring back Rattleblaze Scarecrow after it is fed to Evereth, Viceroy of Plunder. Because the Broodmoth returns the Scarecrow with a flying counter while persist adds a -1/-1 counter, these opposing counters cancel each other out upon re-entry, ensuring the Scarecrow can never be permanently locked out of triggering its graveyard returns. With this clean slate established every cycle, Evereth can sacrifice the Scarecrow indefinitely to grow its own power and unleash endless death triggers.
