How it works
- Activate Yenna by paying 2 and tapping it, creating a token copy of an Aura you control and a 1/1 Squirrel creature token, then untapping Yenna and causing you to scry 2.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Squirrel, adding CC.
- Activate Gatherer of Graces by sacrificing the Aura token, regenerating Gatherer of Graces.
- Repeat.
This clever loop centers on Yenna, Redtooth Regent, whose ability to copy an Aura triggers her own untap while simultaneously generating a bonus 1/1 green Squirrel token thanks to Chatterfang, Squirrel General's replacement effect. You then feed that newly spawned Squirrel into Ashnod's Altar to generate the colorless mana needed to pay for Yenna's activation again. Meanwhile, Gatherer of Graces provides a convenient sacrifice outlet to bin the cloned Aura token for its regeneration ability, clearing the board so Yenna never violates her non-unique name restriction.
