How it works

1. During your combat phase, activate Necrotic Ooze using Kjeldoran Elite Guard's ability by tapping it, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
2. Activate Necrotic Ooze using Cinderhaze Wretch's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Necrotic Ooze into a one-man powerhouse by letting it piece together a self-contained untap engine from the graveyard. While the Ooze borrows Cinderhaze Wretch's ability to untap itself by placing a -1/-1 counter on its own body, it simultaneously leverages Kjeldoran Elite Guard's tap ability to feed the cycle. Because the -1/-1 counter conveniently offsets the +2/+2 buff's tracking requirement, you can tap and untap the Ooze infinitely during combat to grow an infinitely large creature until end of turn.
