How it works

1. Cast Malevolent Hermit from your graveyard for its disturb cost by paying , causing it to enter the battlefield as Benevolent Geist.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Benevolent Geist, adding .
3. Benevolent Geist is not exiled due to Humility removing its ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns graveyard recycling into an infinite engine by leveraging a clever rules interaction with Humility. Because Humility strips away all abilities from every creature on the battlefield, it effectively blanks the exile clause on Benevolent Geist (the back half of Malevolent Hermit), allowing it to go straight to the graveyard instead of being permanently removed when it dies. From there, you can continuously cast it from your graveyard for its disturb cost—a price that is completely mitigated by Semblance Anvil reducing the casting cost of your spells. Finally, feeding the recast creature directly into Phyrexian Altar generates the mana needed to repeat the process indefinitely while racking up infinite storm count and sacrifice triggers.
