How it works

1. Activate Pili-Pala by tapping it, adding 1.
2. Badgermole Cub triggers, adding .
3. Activate Pili-Pala by paying 2 and untapping it, adding one mana of any color.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble Pili-Pala into a limitless engine by turning lands into creatures and granting them the power to produce mana. By enchanting Pili-Pala with Utopia Vow, you give the scarecrow the ability to tap for mana itself, which in turn triggers Badgermole Cub's static replacement or triggered mana-boosting ability to generate a bonus green mana on top of Pili-Pala's own activation. You then spend two generic mana to untap Pili-Pala using its own ability, netting infinite colored mana in the process.
