How it works

1. Activate Marvin using Selvala's ability by tapping it, adding at least three mana of any color.
2. Activate Marvin using Pili-Pala's ability by paying 2 and untapping it, adding one mana of any color.
3. Repeat.

This ingenious assembly lets Marvin, Murderous Mimic become a self-contained mana engine by borrowing the right tools from the graveyard or battlefield. With Pili-Pala's untap ability copied, Marvin can convert two generic mana into any color of mana, while Selvala, Eager Trailblazer provides the necessary color filtering and initial mana boost by tapping for mana based on different creature powers. By endlessly looping Pili-Pala's untap ability to untap Marvin and generate colored mana, you easily cycle into infinite colored mana to fuel the rest of your game plan.
