How it works

1. Activate Rex using Topiary Lecturer's ability by tapping it, adding at least
2. Activate Rex using Pili-Pala's ability by paying 2 and untapping it, adding one mana of any color.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns our mechanical hound into a self-contained mana engine by feeding on the graveyard and borrowing activated abilities. First, you need to get Topiary Lecturer and Pili-Pala into exile with brain counters using Rex, Cyber-Hound's own mill-and-exile ability, granting Rex the power to both tap for green mana and pay to untap. With those pieces in exile, Rex taps using Topiary Lecturer's ability to generate green mana, then uses Pili-Pala's untap ability—fueled by part of that mana and generic mana—to reset itself. This creates an endless cycle that produces infinite colored mana for your spells and abilities.
