How it works

  1. Cast Harald Unties the Elves by paying 2B manaG mana, causing it to enter the battlefield with a lore counter on it.
  2. Harald Unites the Elves' first chapter ability triggers, causing you to mill three cards, and return Moritte from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Harald Unites the Elves with one lore counter on it.
  3. Moritte of the Frost's first chapter ability triggers, holding priority, activate Phantatog's first ability by sacrificing Moritte of the Frost, giving it +1/+1 until end of turn.
  4. Resolve the Moritte of the Frost trigger, causing you to mill three cards, and return Moritte from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Harald Unites the Elves with one lore counter on it.
  5. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop centers around the cyclical resurrection enabled by Harald Unites the Elves, which lets you constantly fish an Elf or Tyvar card from your graveyard whenever a new copy hits the battlefield. Moritte of the Frost answers the call by entering as a copy of the Saga, immediately triggering its own first chapter to mill cards and bring itself right back when it goes to the graveyard. Meanwhile, Phantatog acts as the sacrificial outlet that neatly sends Moritte back to the graveyard in response to its own trigger, pumping its own power higher and higher with every iteration.
