How it works

1. Activate Necrotic Ooze using Walking Atlas's ability by tapping it, putting a land from your hand onto the battlefield.
2. If the land is mana-producing and enters the battlefield untapped, you may activate it by tapping it, adding at least 1.
3. Activate Necrotic Ooze using Trench Behemoth's ability by returning the land from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Necrotic Ooze.
4. Repeat.

This clever engine transforms Necrotic Ooze into a one-stop-shop for land-cycling madness by gathering the activated abilities of both Walking Atlas and Trench Behemoth from the graveyard. Walking Atlas provides the mechanism to effortlessly drop lands straight from your hand onto the battlefield, while Trench Behemoth steps in to bounce that very same land right back to your hand while continually untapping the Ooze. Because the Ooze inherits these abilities natively, you can loop them infinitely as long as the lands you play enter untapped, netting boundless mana and an endless stream of landfall triggers to overwhelm your opponents.
