How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Bloodsoaked Champion, adding .
2. Activate Bloodsoaked Champion by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Tormod triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This elegant little engine feeds on your combat phase to fuel an endless recycling loop, powered entirely by Bloodsoaked Champion returning to the battlefield from your graveyard via its raid ability. Phyrexian Altar acts as both the sacrificial outlet and the mana generator to pay for those repeated returns, while Tormod, the Desecrator watches over your graveyard and generously rewards every departure with a tapped 2/2 black Zombie. Because the Champion keeps bouncing back to life, you can feed those very same Zombie tokens right back into Phyrexian Altar to churn out infinite sacrifices, deaths, and triggers!
