How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Bloodsoaked Champion, adding .
2. When Bloodsoaked Champion dies, Blight Mound triggers, creating a 1/1 Pest creature token.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Pest, adding 1.
4. When the Pest dies, it triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Activate Bloodsoaked Champion by paying 1, returning it to the battlefield from your graveyard.
6. Repeat.

This loop transforms a modest warrior and an altar into an engine of endless sacrifice by leveraging the death-triggered reinforcements provided by Blight Mound. When you feed Bloodsoaked Champion to Phyrexian Altar, the resulting sacrifice not only fuels your mana pool but also triggers the enchantment to spawn a Pest token. You then sacrifice that Pest back to Phyrexian Altar to accumulate the exact mana needed to satisfy the raid cost of Bloodsoaked Champion, bringing it straight back from the graveyard. Because the champion itself was already used to attack earlier in the turn, this entire cycle can repeat seamlessly as long as you have the graveyard access, gaining you life from the dying tokens along the way.
