How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Bloodsoaked Champion.
2. When Bloodsoaked Champion dies, Pitiless Plunderer and Phenomenon Investigators trigger, creating a creature token and a Treasure token.
3. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
4. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the creature token.
5. When the creature token dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
6. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
7. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1.
8. Activate Bloodsoaked Champion by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Phantom Train as a hungry sacrifice outlet, fueled entirely by the black mana generated whenever Pitiless Plunderer turns a death into a precious Treasure token. With Phenomenon Investigators set to Believe, every fallen nontoken creature replaces itself with a fresh Horror token to keep the cycle going. Finally, Bloodsoaked Champion provides the essential recurring engine, exploiting its raid ability to march straight back from the graveyard to the battlefield after attacking so you can feed it to the train all over again.
