How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Goblin Arsonist, adding .
2. When Goblin Arsonist dies, it and Mortuary trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Goblin Arsonist on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Goblin Arsonist trigger, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
5. Ob Nixilis triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself, and exiling Goblin Arsonist from the top of your library with the ability to play it until your end step.
6. Cast Goblin Arsonist from exile by paying .
7. Repeat.

This delightfully insidious loop turns a humble Goblin Arsonist into an engine of relentless devastation, all fueled by the sacrifice outlet of Thermopod to generate the red mana needed to keep casting. Each time the Goblin meets its fiery end, Mortuary steps in to bypass the graveyard entirely, recycling the creature directly to the top of your library. From there, Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin watches eagerly: the precise 1 damage ping from the Arsonist's death trigger hits an opponent, triggering the Fallen leader to grow with a +1/+1 counter and exile the Goblin from the top of your library so you can recast it for the exact mana Thermopod just provided.
