How it works

1. Declare a creature you control that cannot be blocked by an opponent as an attacker.
2. Holding priority, activate Assimilation Aegis' equip ability by paying 2, attaching it to the creature.
3. Assimilation Aegis' second ability triggers, causing the creature to become a copy of Medomai the Ageless.
4. Deal combat damage with the creature.
5. The creature triggers, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
6. Move to your next turn.
7. Activate Assimilation Aegis' equip ability by paying 2, attaching it to any other creature.
8. Assimilation Aegis' second ability triggers, causing the creature to become a copy of Medomai the Ageless.
9. Repeat.

By carefully choreographing Assimilation Aegis to continually copy Medomai the Ageless, you can bypass the legendary sphinx's dreaded restriction against attacking during extra turns. Leonin Shikari makes this possible at instant speed, allowing you to un-equip and re-equip the Aegis right after damage is dealt to reset Medomai's identity before the game checks whether an extra turn is allowed. Because the copied creature sheds its Medomai identity the moment the equipment moves away and takes on a fresh copy when it reattaches, you are free to repeat the process indefinitely and chain endless turns together.
