How it works

1. Activate Zaxara by tapping it, adding .
2. Cast Wurmcalling with buyback by paying 2.
3. Zaxara triggers, creating three 0/0 Hydra creature tokens.
4. The Hydras enter the battlefield and die as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
5. Faces of the Past trigger three times.
6. Resolve the first trigger, untapping all Hydras.
7. Activate Zaxara by tapping it, adding .
8. Repeat from step 6 for each remaining trigger.
9. Resolve Wurmcalling, creating three 0/0 Wurm creature tokens and returning Wurmcalling to your hand.
10. The Wurms enter the battlefield and die as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness.
11. When the Wurms dies, Faces of the Past triggers three times, either tapping or untapping all Wurms.
12. Repeat.
13. Once you have infinite mana, you may cast Wurmcalling for increasingly larger amounts to get infinite creature tokens.

This delightfully quirky loop turns a fatal state-based weakness into a dynamic engine fueled by Zaxara, the Exemplary and its ability to pump out tokens whenever you cast an X-spell. By casting Wurmcalling with its buyback cost, you trigger Zaxara, whose output is dramatically amplified by Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation to generate multiple 0/0 tokens that instantly perish upon arrival. As these creatures hit the graveyard, Faces of the Past exploits their shared creature types to continually untap your mana producer, allowing you to filter and multiply your green mana to recast Wurmcalling indefinitely.
