How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Elenda, adding .
2. Choose to return Elenda to the command zone from your graveyard.
3. When Elenda dies, its second ability triggers, creating a number of 1/1 Vampire creature tokens equal to three times Elenda's power.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Vampire, adding .
5. Repeat step 4 until you have enough mana to cast Elenda.
6. Cast Elenda from the command zone by paying 2 plus commander tax, if applicable.
7. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Vampire token, adding .
8. When the Vampire dies, Elenda's first ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
9. Repeat from step 7 for each remaining Vampire token.
10. Repeat from step 1.

This elegant loop transforms Elenda, the Dusk Rose into an engine of exponential growth, fueled entirely by the mana-generating sacrifice outlet Phyrexian Altar. When Elenda dies and heads back to the command zone, her triggered ability unleashes a horde of Vampire tokens whose numbers are brilliantly tripled by Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation's replacement effect. Sacrificing those tokens back to the Altar provides the mana needed to recast Elenda while simultaneously pumping her power with +1/+1 counters for the next iteration.
