How it works

1. Defeat Invasion of Amonkhet
2. Invasion of Amonkhet triggers, causing you to exile it, and return it to the battlefield transformed as Lazotep Convert.
3. Choose to have Lazotep Convert enter the battlefield as a copy of Ojer Taq that is a 4/4 Zombie.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Lazotep Convert, adding one mana of any color.
5. When Lazotep Convert dies, it triggers, causing you to exile it, and return it to the battlefield transformed as Lazotep Convert.
6. Choose to have Lazotep Convert enter the battlefield as a copy of Ojer Taq that is a 4/4 Zombie.
7. Repeat from step 4.

This clever loop puts Phyrexian Altar to work alongside a uniquely positioned Invasion of Amonkhet. Once the Siege is defeated, it enters transformed as Lazotep Convert, taking advantage of its own ability to copy Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation from your graveyard. Because Lazotep Convert is a copy of Ojer Taq—and importantly retains that identity even when it's just a 4/4 black Zombie—its death feeds directly back into the Altar for mana while triggering the card's own exile-and-transform loop to continuously bring itself right back.
