How it works

1. Defeat Invasion of Amonkhet
2. Invasion of Amonkhet triggers, causing you to exile it, and return it to the battlefield transformed as Lazotep Convert.
3. Choose to have Lazotep Convert enter the battlefield as a copy of Ojer Taq that is a 4/4 Zombie.
4. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Lazotep Convert, adding .
5. When Lazotep Convert dies, it triggers, causing you to exile it, and return it to the battlefield transformed as Lazotep Convert.
6. Choose to have Lazotep Convert enter the battlefield as a copy of Ojer Taq that is a 4/4 Zombie.
7. Repeat from step 4.

This loop turns the clever clone-from-graveyard mechanic of Lazotep Convert (the back face of Invasion of Amonkhet) into an unstoppable self-sustaining engine. By using Thermopod to sacrifice the copy for red mana, we send it back to the graveyard to be recast as Lazotep Convert once more. The true magic, however, relies on Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation—or rather, copying its identity—because each time the copy re-enters as Ojer Taq, it sets the stage for an explosive cascade of tokens if you ever introduce another maker to the mix.
