How it works

1. Gain any amount of life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a 4/4 Beast creature token.
4. When the Beast enters the battlefield, Verdant Sun's Avatar triggers, causing you to gain 4 life.
5. Repeat.

This delightful loop transforms any initial burst of lifegain into a self-sustaining engine of growth and wildlife. It all begins when Heliod, Sun-Crowned rewards that life with a +1/+1 counter placed upon Herd Baloth, whose ability immediately reacts by spawning a 4/4 Beast creature token. As that heavy-hooved token touches the battlefield, Verdant Sun's Avatar notices its entry and restores your life total by an amount equal to the token's toughness, which in turn triggers Heliod, Sun-Crowned all over again to keep the cycle spinning infinitely.
