How it works

1. Gain any amount of life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak.
3. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token.
4. When the Squirrel enters the battlefield, Verdant Sun's Avatar triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop takes a single instance of life gain and bootstraps it into an ever-expanding ecosystem, perfectly blending triggered abilities into a self-sustaining engine. It all begins when Heliod, Sun-Crowned rewards you with a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak, whose own passive nature instantly reacts to those counters by spawning a 1/1 Squirrel token. Every time that little token enters the battlefield, Verdant Sun's Avatar notices its toughness and dutifully hands you a life point, which in turn loops right back to awaken Heliod's trigger anew.
