How it works

1. Gain any amount of life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a 4/4 Beast creature token.
4. When the Beast enters the battlefield, Ajani's Welcome triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a single instance of life gain into an endless cascade of growth and creation. It all starts when Heliod, Sun-Crowned triggers off any initial life gain, placing a +1/+1 counter onto Herd Baloth. That influx of power immediately provokes Herd Baloth's trigger to spawn a 4/4 green Beast token.
