How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Lunarch Veteran triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop transforms a simple spark of life into an unstoppable cascade of beasts and counters, anchored by Heliod, Sun-Crowned and his passive ability to react whenever you gain life. That life gain places a +1/+1 counter onto Herd Baloth, whose own trigger responds to those counters by creating a 4/4 green Beast token. Every time that token enters the battlefield, Lunarch Veteran steps in to grant you 1 life—which immediately feeds back into Heliod to restart the cycle.
