How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
6. Repeat.

This resilient loop relies on Kitchen Finks as a self-recurring engine that continuously triggers its own life gain upon entering the battlefield. That life gain directly awakens Heliod, Sun-Crowned, whose static triggered ability places a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks every time you gain life. Because persist returns Kitchen Finks with a -1/-1 counter, this incoming +1/+1 counter immediately nullifies it through state-based actions, leaving the creature completely clean and ready to be sacrificed all over again to Carrion Feeder.
