How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop starts by using Bartolomé del Presidio as a willing executioner to feed on Kitchen Finks, sending the Finks to the graveyard where its persist ability rescues it and brings it right back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. That return journey triggers the Finks's natural life-gain ability, which in turn wakes up the passive lifegain trigger on Heliod, Sun-Crowned to place a +1/+1 counter on the Kitchen Finks. Thanks to the rules of Magic, that incoming +1/+1 counter immediately annihilates the existing -1/-1 counter via state-based actions, resetting the Finks completely clean and ready to be sacrificed to Bartolomé del Presidio all over again for an endless cycle of life and sacrifices.
