How it works

1. Gain any amount of life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a 4/4 Beast creature token.
4. When the Beast enters the battlefield, Prosperous Innkeeper's second ability triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop gets rolling the moment you gain any amount of life, which causes Heliod, Sun-Crowned to trigger and place a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth. That influx of counters makes Herd Baloth trigger its own ability, bringing a 4/4 Beast creature token into the fold. Because that new token entering the battlefield causes Prosperous Innkeeper's soul sister ability to trigger and reward you with 1 life, you are immediately fed the life needed to re-trigger Heliod and perpetuate the entire cycle indefinitely.
