How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
3. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Thunder of Unity triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This delightful loop turns a single instance of life gain into a self-sustaining engine of growth and attrition. Once chapters II and III of Thunder of Unity are active, every creature entering the battlefield drains your opponents while immediately padding your life total. That newly gained life triggers Heliod, Sun-Crowned, whose ability places a +1/+1 counter onto Herd Baloth. In turn, that counter prompts Herd Baloth to birth a 4/4 green Beast creature token, whose arrival feeds right back into Thunder of Unity to restart the cycle.
