How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak.
3. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Leyline of Vitality triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop transforms any initial instance of lifegain into a self-sustaining engine fueled by the synergy between Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Scurry Oak. Whenever you gain life, Heliod's triggered ability places a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak, which in turn triggers Scurry Oak to create a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token. As that token enters the battlefield, Leyline of Vitality sees the new arrival and triggers to grant you 1 life, feeding right back into Heliod to keep the cycle spinning infinitely.
