How it works
- Gain life.
- Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- When the creature token enters the battlefield, Answered Prayers triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This loop is set into motion the moment you gain life, which causes Heliod, Sun-Crowned to trigger and place a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale. That counter placement triggers Basking Broodscale to create an Eldrazi Spawn token, and the moment that token enters the battlefield, Answered Prayers triggers to grant you 1 life. Because this new instance of lifegain restarts the cycle by triggering Heliod, Sun-Crowned all over again, you generate an unbounded loop of counters, tokens, life, and mana by sacrificing the Eldrazi Spawn.
