How it works
- Gain life.
- Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- When the creature token enters the battlefield, Thunder of Unity triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This loop thrives on an elegant, self-sustaining feedback cycle between Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Basking Broodscale. Whenever you gain life, Heliod's triggered ability places a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale, which in turn triggers the Broodscale to spawn an Eldrazi. That newly arriving token triggers Thunder of Unity's chapters II and III, securing you the life gain needed to restart Heliod's trigger and keep the engine running indefinitely.
