How it works

1. Gain life.
2. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
3. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
4. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Haliya triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop spins up a self-sustaining engine of life and growth once you manage to gain any initial increment of life to wake up Heliod, Sun-Crowned's triggered ability. That life gain places a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale, which in turn triggers the Broodscale's own ability to birth an Eldrazi Spawn token. As that token enters the battlefield, Haliya, Guided by Light notices the new arrival and grants you 1 life, feeding right back into Heliod to restart the entire sequence. Because Basking Broodscale can keep receiving counters and Haliya keeps rewarding every single token entry with fresh life, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to amass an infinite army and boundless reserves of colorless mana.
